Description

Crizal's unique six-step process integrates two-sided scratch-resistant, anti-reflective, and hydrophobic technology all in one factory process.

• Crizal delivers maximum durability by integrating two-sided anti-scratch, anti-reflective, and hydrophobic caotings.
• Crizal eliminates cracking and peeling by ensuring optimum compatibility between the lens and coating films and between each coating layer.
• Crizal provides optimum light transmission and increased toughness through a unique anti-reflective coating design.

1. Automated Lens Cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning ensures excellent bonding between lenses & anti-scratch coating. Prevents peeling.

2. Two-Sided Scratch-Resistant Coating

Glass-like silica particles ensure lens hardness. Polymer matrix ensures lens flexibility and prevents cracking.
3. Hi-Energy Surface Control 
High energy particles bombard lens in vacuum chamber. Ensures secure bond between AR & scratch-resistant layers.

4. Anti-Reflective Coating

Zirconium oxide maximizes light transmission with increased tougness. Reduces unwanted reflections by over 80%.
5. Hydrophobic Coating
Reduces adhesion of grease and water stains. Vacuum chamber application ensures coating will not peel off.
6. Systematic Quality Control
Every production batch tested for scratch resistance, coating, adhesion and clarity. Every lens meets Essilor's quality standards.
