Ralph began his optical career in 1959 following his high school graduation and 9 years later founded Eye-Glasses, Inc. Wanting to secure the future course of the laboratory in a changing optical industry landscape, Ralph continuously invested in technology and Eye-Glasses evolved into 21st Century Optics. Ralph believes strongly in the adage that "hard work will never hurt anyone". He enjoys golf, fishing and spending time with wife Barbara, 4 sons, their wives and 5 grandchildren.

Barney began his career at 21st Century Optics 6 months after it was founded and worked in every area of the lab at one time or another. As a New York State licensed optician, Barney has a wealth of optical knowledge which is invaluable to the company and its customers. Barney enjoys basketball, golf and spending time with his wife Stephanie, his 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

In 1996, 21st Century Optics underwent a re-engineering and re-tooling process of its entire finishing department. Rob joined the lab as a trainer for employees on this new machinery and equipment. In 1999, Rob joined the lab as Director of Customer Relations. In 2007, Rob was promoted to the Vice President of Operations position where his goal is to continuously raise 21st's level of service and quality in response to the growing demands of our valued customer base. Rob loves to play golf and practices mixed martial arts.

Mike's optical career began in 1967 when he worked for American Cystascopes, a company providing calibrating optical equipment for the military. Two years later, he became the East Coast Technical Services Manager for American Optical, became a NYS licensed ophthalmic dispenser and joined the family laboratory business where he serves as the Vice President of Production. Mike loves to play golf and fish and enjoys vacationing in the Dominican Republic.

Anthony earned a BS in Communications from St. John's University and has over 30 years of business related experience. He entered the optical industry in 1993 as a Varilux Sales Consultant. An interest in the science of optics coupled with a strong sales background created a natural transition to the wholesale lab side of the optical business where Anthony became a NYS licensed Ophthalmic Dispenser and serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Anthony enjoys cooking, watching New York Yankees baseball and spending time with his family at his weekend home in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts.

Debra has called the optical industry home for 25+ years, including experience as a frame representative for Optyl and a Varilux Brand Senior Sales Consultant before joining the 21st team in 2000. Debra's professional passion lies in providing education and training for Eye Care Professionals. Debra is a huge New York Yankees fan, loves going to Broadway Theater with husband, Bill and daughter, Carolyn and volunteers as a Sr. High School Youth Group leader at her church.

Dorothy has over 30 years of experience in the optical industry including ten years as an Optyl Christian Dior frame representative and twelve years as a Varilux Brand Consultant. In 2002, Dorothy joined the 21st Century Optics sales organization covering New Jersey and the Lower Hudson Valley in New York. In her spare time, Dorothy enjoys spa treatments and reading.

Mike's tenure in the optical industry stretches over a 30 year span. He developed an interest in lenses while working on the frame side of the business with Rodenstock. When a position with 21st opened up, Mike jumped at the opportunity and has been here for over 6 years. Mike enjoys trips to Atlantic City and grandchildren, Joey, Zoie and Avery are the loves of his life.

Rich has just celebrated his 32nd year with 21st Century and the Woythaler family and currently serves as Laboratory Manager. Rich was bitten by the optical bug while working for Davis Vision in 1972 and joined the 21st team in 1979. He earned his BS in Business Management from NYIT and became a licensed NYS licensed Ophthalmic Dispenser in 1988. In his spare time, Rich enjoys playing the drums and skiing.

Becky has been involved in the wholesale optical laboratory field since 1993. Becky joined 21st Century in 2007 as Inventory Manager, and also has experience as a Production Manager. Becky is an avid, accomplished outdoorswoman enjoying kayaking, fishing, skiing, playing golf and pistol shooting.

Beth joined 21st Century Optics in July of 2011 after over a decade specializing in Customer Service in the financial services industry. She is happy to have recently returned to New York City after five years in Boston where she was the Training Manager for Computershare Fund Services. Beth is proud to be an avid St Louis Cardinals baseball fan despite living in a sea of Yankees and Mets fans.

Ed's optical career began in October of 1973 as a sales rep for the American Optical Lab in Springfield, New Jersey. In 1982, Ed purchased the lab and changed its name to S & G Optical. In March, 2004, Ed sold the business to 21st Century Optics, staying on as General Manager. In his free time, Ed plays golf, is part owner of Thoroughbred horses and is a high school wrestling official.

Peter Martin, Assistant Manager

Peter followed in his father's professional footsteps and became an optician. For nearly 30 years he has lent his optical knowledge to both the optical wholesale and retail sides of the business. Peter's passion is following YNWA Liverpool Soccer Team.
