Digital lens processing is simply a better way to make optical lenses. The digital process is at its best when additional patient/frame measurements are taken so that the lens can be personalized for the patient > frame > lens combination. At a minimum, those measurements include pantoscopic tilt, vertex distance and frame wrap. When using an advanced measurement device like the m’eye Fit (featured below) a number of other patient specific measurements can be accurately and easily added to the process.
We have the equipment, training and processes to produce the lenses that will deliver on the vision expectations of your patients. 21st Century Optics is proud to boast about our high capacity for digital surfacing. due to our two automated digital surfacing generators,or Orbits. The Satisloh VFT-Orbit is a top of the line digital surfacing generator. This machine holds some of the highest technology known in the Optical lab industry allowing the lab to produce virtually any lens design on the market. Furthermore, the VFT-Orbits are extremely fast machines, producing up to 110 lenses per hour! One of our Orbits is dedicated to the specialized needs of Varilux X Series lenses. Having both the digital and the no glare processing centers on premise allows us to control quality and work flow priorities and that translates to reduced turn-around time and happier patients.
